(End off the trip)
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC) is one of the most popular trekking experiences in Nepal. It is an amazing walk through a diverse landscape and culture, complete with stunning mountain vistas, terraced fields, quaint Gurung villages, and a wide variety of flora and fauna.
Trekking in Annapurna region is always special as it is a unique place in the world as it contains world's largest rhododendron forest in Ghorepani, beautiful Tilicho lake which is the world's highest altitude fresh water lake also located in Manang – north of Annapurna massif.
The best seasons to trek to Annapurna Base Camp are Spring (March, April, May, June) and Autumn (end of September, October, November). During Spring, you can enjoy clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and blooming rhododendrons.
The mountain is named after Annapurna, the Hindu goddess of food and nourishment, who is said to reside there. The name Annapurna is derived from the Sanskrit-language words purna ("filled") and anna ("food"), and can be translated as "everlasting food".
We highly recommend dressing in layer-by-layer. Woollen or other thermal underwear, with a T-shirt (not cotton) or shirt on top. A fleece or woolen sweater as the warm layer and then a windproof shell jacket on the outside. On arrival in Kathmandu you will get a large equipment bag in good quality.
Around 110km/68 Miles
