Ghandruk Trek is an easy and short hiking trip to Annapurna Conservation Area of Nepal. This hiking grants to experience the integrity of rural lifestyle and pristine nature of Annapurna region.
The main attraction of this trek is the bustling heritage village of Ghandruk, with its a relatively prosperous Gurung population. Staying in Ghandruk is a wonderful experience, as the village has a friendly vibe to it and offers amazing views of Himalayan giants Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Machapuchare (Fishtail).
Ghandruk is the second largest settlement Gurung people, one of the indigenous groups in Nepal. In this village, about 270 Gurung families are staying in a charming cluster of slate-roofed houses surrounded by neatly terraced fields.
The Ghandruk Trek (sometimes also referred to as the Ghandrung Trek) is a great trekking option for those who are in Nepal for a shorter time or want to combine a relatively short trek with other activities in Nepal.
Departure from the different cities
Arrival at Kathmandu airport (usually in the afternoon) already marks our entry into another world... Customs formalities, baggage collection and welcome by our local French-speaking guide. Crossing the city to the hotel already offers a first discovery of the bustling and colorful capital of Nepal. Buses, trucks, bicycles and sacred cows crisscross in a friendly chaos... Depending on the arrival time, visit the surrounding area or simply settle in and rest at the hotel before your dinner at the hotel. In case of early arrival in Kathmandu, lunch will be included in the program.

We take private bus to go to the second Nepalese city, located on the banks of Lake Phewa. The second famous touristique city. From where we can see the Machhapuchhare (6997m), Annapurna III (7555m) and Annapurna IV (7525m) are reflected at Phewa lake. We take direct bus up to Birethanti where we pass our night. The first day of the trek with discovering lots of things on the way.

We start to walk towards our camp Ghandruk village by following the banks of modhi khola which come from the annapurna base camp. We left Sauli Bazar (1220m) and start to climb up steep stone path by passing Kimche village (1640m)which take us towards the mountain and arrive at Ghandruk by passing lots of cultivation fields, local houses and meet local people on the way. Ghandruk village is big and famous Gurung ethic group village where lots of people from this village are famous for the British, Indian armies and singapore police. This village is very reputed for it. We can see the magnificent views of Machhapuchhare (6997m), Annapurnas and HiunChuli (6441m), just infront of us. We can visit the village and museum as well.

We descends toward Jinu Danda. We arrive at Jinu Danda for lunch break after crossing the long suspension bridge. After lunch we go to enjoy the hot spring.

We cross the two rivers with suspension bridges. And we ascends towards Landruk village, pretty big village inhabited by a mixed community of Gurung, Magar, and Brahmin as well. Now the trail gently ascends towards Tolka (1,700m.) where camp for the night known as Bherikharka.

This day is beautiful day for the hike and begin our last day of trekking. We climb up around one hour to arrive Deurali. We cross the small village of Patlekhet then Pothana. We enjoy the view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare before reaching the village of Dhampus. Dhampus is very famous village which is not so far from Pokhara. That's why, there are lots of tourists and local tourists. We can see magnificent views of mountains from Dhampus. We do last day party of the trek with staffs.

After breakfast, we take our vehicle for Pokhara, the country's second city, located on the banks of Lake Phewa and at the foot of the Annapurna massif.

Ghandruk Trek lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area and is located within the North-central part of Nepal. Ghandruk Trek starts from near Pokhara and also ends near Pokhara. Ghandruk Trek is also part of Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
The Ghandruk trekking is perhaps the straightforward trek within the Annapurna region of Nepal. A day the trekking distance from one settlement to the Next is Different; however, usually, you've got to steer 4 to six hours each day. But, if you're fit physically and mentally, you'll make it.
During your Ghandruk Trek, you'll be staying at locally made tea Houses and Lodges. This trek, the accommodations are going to be private with twin beds and personal lockers. You'll have a cozy mattress, pillows, small table, and Blanket in your room, but the toilet isn't there inside. It's sharing, and if you employ a hot shower, they're going to charge extra.
The best seasons to trek to Ghandruk trek are Spring (March, April, May, June) and Autumn (end of September, October, November, Mid-december). During Spring, you can enjoy clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and blooming rhododendrons.
