Tamang Heritage Trail Trek passes through authentic Tamang settlements, where the way of life, culture, and crafts have persisted since colonization. It demands dedication because you are about to ascend to a height of nearly 3165 meters at Nagthali Ghyang.This Trail is a beautiful, non-touristy trek in Nepal.The Tamang Heritage Trail is a different then others trek with it's cultural trek, aimed at hiking the Tamang villages (an ethnic group in Nepal) which lies at north of Kathmandu. The villages are authentic rather than guest house collections, the residents are welcoming, preserving their traditional cuisine, attire, and rituals.This trek offers trekkers breathtaking views of iconic peaks such as Langtang Lirung (7,227 meters) and Ganesh Himal (7,600 meters), among others. We can visit ancient monasteries, and engage with the warm and welcoming locals. While traveling from Gatlang to Chilime along the Tamang Heritage Trail, travelers may enjoy the thrilling sensation of taking a shower in the healing natural hot spring waters at Tatopani. We can see the tibetain culture and customs. The people from here are origine tibetain. We are not so far from the Tibet. The Tamang Heritage Trail is a scenic and culturally significant trekking trail in Nepal that provides a rare glimpse into the customs and way of life of the Tamang people, an indigenous group in the Himalayan region.
The best time to embark on the Tamang Heritage Trek is during the autumn (September to mid-december) and spring (March to May) seasons when the weather is pleasant, and the skies are clear. The trek typically takes 8 to 10 days, depending on your pace and itinerary.

Flight to Kathmandu from different cities
Arrival at Kathmandu airport (usually in the afternoon) already marks our entry into another world... Customs formalities, baggage collection and welcome by our local French-speaking guide. Crossing the city to the hotel already offers a first discovery of the bustling and colorful capital of Nepal. Buses, trucks, bicycles and sacred cows crisscross in a friendly chaos... Depending on the arrival time, visit the surrounding area or simply settle in and rest at the hotel before your dinner at the hotel.

The drive offers views of terraced fields, rural villages, and lush hillsides. Arrive in Syabrubesi, a small Tamang village, where you'll spend the night. Begin to immerse yourself in the local culture and prepare for the trek ahead.

Start your trek from Syabrubesi, following the trail through rhododendron and pine forests, with occasional glimpses of the Langtang mountain range. Autumn occurs between the months of September and November, promising clear mountain views, blue skies, and comfortable weather. If you prefer to travel during the spring months of February through May, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of rhododendrons blooming brilliantly across the alpine slopes of the Langtang Valley. Food and Accommodation Langtang Trek is a much-loved destination, and you can find plenty of tea houses and hotels for Food and accommodation. As always you are far away from your home, therefore, don’t expect the food to be of your choice instead adjust with the items in the guesthouse. The choices in the menu are limited, but portions of the food will be quite substantial and filling. Generally, the menu offers Dal Bhat, chowmein, omelet, fried potatoes, pancakes, Tibetan bread, and soups. The non-veg items include yak meat, canned fish, and chicken. Don’t expect the guesthouse to be luxurious, but there will be enough clothes to keep you warm. You can find a clean room, decent beds, and toilets, which will be kind enough to stay at teahouses. In a peak season, you may have to adjust with the beds and clothes. It is best to contact your travel agency to book excellent accommodation out there. Required Documents TIMS Card Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) is a card that you get as a permit. They must be shown at checkpoints in different places. This Card helps trekkers in case of an earthquake, extreme weather, and for finding lost trekkers. TIMS Card For independent trekkers, it cost around Rs. 2000 ($20) and for group trekkers with a guide, it cost around Rs. 1000 ($10). But if you are traveling through Travel Agency, then they will manage TIMS Card for you. Langtang National Park Fee The entrance to Langtang National Park will cost you around Rs 3000(~$30). You need to ask this permit at Tourism Board Kathmandu, or you can get from the Dhunche (Starting point of Langtang Valley Trekking)
